clinical transcription
transcribing a therapy session is not transcribing a meeting.
Generic transcribers work well with clear voices taking polite turns. A therapy session is different: quiet and emotional speech, overlap, long silences, dialects. What is at stake is not minutes — it is the raw material of your clinical record.
what makes a transcript clinical.
Who speaks, and exactly when. A block of text is not enough: you need to know what the consultant said and what you said (diarization), with timestamps for each word — not only each turn — so you can jump to the exact minute when something deserves another listen. nexmin proposes the speaker assignment and you confirm it: the final word on who is who is always yours.
Non-verbal events as data. A laugh while talking about abandonment is not background noise: it is a signal. Laughs, crying, sighs and long silences stay exactly where they happen. Then the voice analysis reads them alongside prosody.
Language without a fight. The system detects the session language — Catalan is transcribed literally, not translated — and the analysis comes out in your language while keeping the consultant’s quotes in the original. The person’s words are left untouched.
Editable, because your correction leads. When the model gets something wrong, you correct it by hand and your version enters the history as if you had written it. nexmin does not decide what was said: it proposes the best transcript it can and leaves the signature to you.
the legal part, plainly.
Recording a session requires the consultant’s consent — that belongs to your frame and your professional responsibility, and no tool exempts you from it. nexmin provides informed consent with an in-platform digital signature, analysis inference in the European Union, and three retention levels per patient — from ephemeral audio deleted after analysis to encrypted full retention. External transcription follows the transfer safeguards described in the privacy policy. Your sessions never train models.
once it is transcribed, the interesting part begins.
The transcript is the ground, not the ceiling. It supports synthesis under your paradigm, process variables with minute-level evidence, voice analysis and the process reading between sessions. The note is the first craft — not the last.
frequently asked questions.
Is it legal to record therapy sessions?
Yes, with the consultant’s informed consent. Consent is the professional’s responsibility; nexmin provides the mechanism — templates aligned with AEPD criteria and a signed digital record — but does not replace it.
What if the transcript contains errors?
You edit it by hand and your correction prevails. Real consultations include errors — quiet speech and overlap — so the transcript is an editable draft, not a finished fact.
Does it work in Catalan?
Yes. It detects Catalan and transcribes it literally, without translating it. The analysis comes out in your language with quotes kept in the original.
How much does transcription cost?
It is included in the plan: €49/month + VAT includes 30 hours of analysis per month, and only transcribed audio uses the allowance. Extra minutes cost €0.03.
