Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies are, which ones we use on nexmin.ai and how you can accept them, reject them or change your decision at any time. It complies with LSSI-CE Art. 22.2, the GDPR and the European Data Protection Board Guidelines 03/2022 on deceptive design patterns in consent interfaces.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. It allows the site to recognise you between visits, remember preferences (language, signed-in session) or measure how the page is used. Not all cookies are the same: some are technical and essential; others analyse traffic; others feed third-party advertising.

2. Which cookies do we use on nexmin.ai?

We group them into three categories. Only technical cookies are loaded without asking for your permission.

2.1. Strictly necessary (always active)

They guarantee the basic operation of the site: keeping your session if you have accessed the professional area, remembering the chosen language and protecting forms against CSRF attacks. Without these, the website cannot be delivered — LSSI Art. 22.2 exempts them from requiring consent.

  • Session / authentication — nexmin's own. It expires when you close the browser or after the configured session duration.
  • Language (locale) — nexmin's own. It remembers whether you visit /es, /en or /ca. Expires after 1 year.
  • Theme (light / dark) — nexmin's own. It remembers your visual preference. Expires after 1 year.
  • Anti-CSRF — nexmin's own. Security token. Expires with the session.

2.2. Anonymous analytics (optional, opt-in)

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how many people visit each page, which country they are from and which content works. Plausible is a European service (Hetzner, Germany) that does not use cookies or personal data — it only aggregates anonymous metrics.

Strictly speaking, this category would not require consent (the AEPD has confirmed this for cookie-less tools). We ask for your permission anyway, out of respect for your choice. If you say no, no Plausible script is loaded.

2.3. Marketing (optional, opt-in)

We use Meta Pixel (Facebook / Instagram) so that the advertising campaigns we occasionally run on Meta can tell whether you reached the website from one of our ads. This does write a Facebook cookie to your browser (_fbp) and shares your visit with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.

If you say no, nothing from Meta is loaded: neither the script nor the cookie. If you say yes, you can change your mind later and the cookie stops being used from that point (the cookie already written expires by itself; you can delete it manually from your browser at any time).

3. Your choices

You have three ways to manage cookies on nexmin:

  • Welcome banner — the first time you enter you can choose “Accept all”, “Necessary only” or “Customise” (toggle by category). All three buttons have equal visual weight: none is the “default” option or emphasised over the others.
  • “Cookies” button in the bottom-left corner — always available. It reopens the panel so you can change your preferences whenever you want.
  • Browser settings — from Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc., you can block cookies, delete those already written and configure behaviour by site.

4. How long are they stored?

  • Session / anti-CSRF — when you close the browser.
  • Language / theme — 1 year.
  • Plausible — does not use cookies.
  • Meta Pixel _fbp — 90 days from the last visit.
  • Your consent decision (which categories you allowed) — saved in localStorage (not an HTTP cookie); you can delete it from your browser or using the “Reopen preference panel” button above.

5. Third parties and international transfers

If you enable the Marketing, your visit data is shared with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Ireland, European Union), which may in turn transfer it to Meta Platforms Inc. (United States) under standard contractual clauses (SCCs) and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). More information in the Meta Privacy Policy .

If you only enable Analytics, there is no international transfer: Plausible hosts its servers in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH).

6. Your rights (GDPR)

As with any data processing, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability and restriction. You can exercise them by writing to hola@nexmin.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) if you believe we are not complying with what is stated here.

7. Changes to this policy

If we add a new cookie category or a new provider (for example, a support tool that writes cookies), we will increase the internal consent version and ask you again. Your previous decision is not automatically extended to a new service.
